Deviousness |
There are times when they have close everything and send people home.
There have sadly been - but very rare - people caught out in there weer found frozen to death later.
I know of one such story that's so incredibly painfully sad I couldn't even tell you.
Anyways, I've been so much a "stay in and stick it out" guy these past years I rarely have any problems.
It's fun to watch the storm through the windows and every once in a while I'll decide to get off my butt, get all dressed for it and go take a walk in the blizzard.
Somehow makes me feel more alive and aware of God, maybe even ... brave? lol
Really, I've weeks with no sunshine - just snow, ice, grey skies, and then grey faces.
Somehow lack of sunshine can quite literally bring about depression in a lot of people.
Strangely enough, last week we had a whole day of rain!
That's bad.
Think of it; the ground and streets are covered in layers of hardened snow, then it rains, but then it all freezes again.
Ice rink anyone? You can literally skate on the streets when that happens. Just try driving on it!
We've long lines of pile up accidents in conditions like that - sometimes over 20 cars, trucks all slamming into to each other.
So tell me, why am I staying here already?
Yuck.
So I'm stuck here with friggin Mr. Freeze winters and your where it rains all the time (sounds like british columbia)
What shall we do?
Don't ask me, but Hawaii sounds good.
